Congratulations to the Altar and Rosary Society who had an unprecedented year in profits from the sale of their homemade pierogies. The volunteers made a total of 9,670 pierogies during the 8-week Lenten season, selling 744 bakers' dozens! Total profits, after the cost of supplies were deducted, equal $3,716.00! That's a notable increase from the $2,583.00 made in profits last year! In an economy that has left us all with tight budgets, the Altar and Rosary Society conducted an amazing fundraising event that spanned the entire Lenten season.  Many thanks to all those who donated the flour, eggs, and other ingredients, as well as tho those who donated straight cash ($125 collected in donations).  In the few and humble words of Nancy Verost, sales coordinator, "It was a great success!"  Hats off to everyone who made pierogies and bought pierogies! It was a tremendous team effort!
