Fr. Kelly will be traveling to Washington, DC this week to celebrate Mass and the graveside committal of his personal friend, Col. Gerald Russell, decorated veteran of WWII and the Korean War. Col. Russell will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery later this week which is a huge honor for him and his family. Col. Russell had retired in the State College area where he was a devout Catholic and very active in his community. He founded the "Day of Caring," the day when volunteers throughout the county serve the needs of various non-profit organizations. Congratulations, Fr. Kelly, for being a part of such a notable honor.
