FATHER PETER ASANTEBWANA'S APPEAL LAST WEEKEND

Fr. Peter Asantebwana, the Mission Co-Op priest from the Diocese of Moshi in Tanzania addressed our parish last weekend and spoke of the needs his Diocese is facing.  Currently they are focusing on schooling for children with special needs.  Children with different disabilities have been ignored in the community for a long time.  There is no single high school they can attend.  Moshi Diocese is building a special inclusive high school designed specifically to accommodate children with various disabilities.  Last weekend we collected a total of $1,192.00.  Also, thanks to Brooke and Bella Bailey who donated their piggybank savings of $49.52 to help Father Peter with building the school after they heard him speak on Sunday.  As always, when we host a Mission Co-Op Priest, we do not collect for St. Vincent Strambi during that month.  Additional Mission envelopes are available on the Cry Room Shelf.  All St. Vincent Strambi envelopes collected during the month of July will be forwarded to the Mission Co-Op collection for the Diocese of Moshi in Tanzania.
