DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY IS THIS SUNDAY, APRIL 27TH

Parishioners are asked to participate in the Divine Mercy Sunday service to be held at Ss. Peter and Paul Church at 3:00 p.m. this Sunday, April 27th. The service will include an opening hymn, recitation of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, Veneration of the Sacred Image, Praises of Divine Mercy and the Closing Hymn. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will follow the Divine Mercy service. In a vision to St. Maria Faustina in 1935, the Lord revealed a powerful prayer that He wanted everyone to say, The Chaplet of Divine Mercy. He promised extraordinary graces to those who would recite it. Prayed on ordinary rosary beads, the Chaplet is an intercessory prayer that extends the offering of the Eucharist. It may be said at any time, but our Lord specifically requested that it can be used as a novena on the nine days before the Feast of Mercy (the Sunday after Easter). Copies of the nine-day novena prayers are available on the table at our Mercy Shrine.
