DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY IS NEXT SUNDAY, APRIL 7TH

posted Mar 29, 2013, 6:05 AM by Mary Tocimak   [ updated Mar 29, 2013, 6:05 AM ]

Next Sunday, April 7th, is Divine Mercy Sunday. At 3:00 p.m., a special service will be held in the Church beginning with The Chaplet of Divine Mercy and veneration of the Sacred Image. From 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Praises of the Divine Mercy and the Holy Rosary will be recited. In a vision to St. Maria Faustina in 1935, the Lord revealed a powerful prayer that He wanted everyone to say--The Chaplet of the Divine Mercy. He promised extraordinary graces to those who would recite it. Prayed on ordinary rosary beads, the Chaplet is an intercessory prayer that extends the offering of the Eucharist. It may be said at any time, but our Lord specifically requested that it can be used as a novena on the nine days before the Feast of Mercy (the Sunday after Easter). Copies of the Chaplet and Novena are on the Cry Room Shelf.
