Two days prior, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown held its annual recognition dinner on June 6, 2013 where Emily was named a recipient of the Matthew 25 Youth Humanitarian Award. Jerry Craven, Director of Religious Education, nominated Emily for her efforts to help the sick and the underprivileged as well as her continued service to the church in many capacities.
