The Altar and Rosary Society had a planning meeting on September 10th in the Parish Hall for the upcoming Octoberfest fundraiser. The ladies are excited to offer large and wonderful prizes for the 2013 Octoberfest Raffle. Many thanks to local carpenter Doug Hazelton who donated two large wooden Adirondack Chairs crafted at his workshop on Maple Street. Doug's chairs have been widely popular in our area, noted for their comfort and expert craftsmanship. On behalf of our parish family, "Thank You, Doug," for being so generous with your talent! Two other large prizes will be secured in the upcoming weeks. Altar and Rosary's 50/50 Drawing will take place at the conclusion of the Octoberfest celebration on Sunday, October 27th. Tickets will be appearing in upcoming bulletins and will be on sale throughout the remainder of September and the month of October. A special "Donations Box" will be placed at the rear of the church starting early October so that donated items can be collected as parishioners attend Mass. So . . . start planning your own form of contribution to this largest fundraising event for Altar and Rosary. All proceeds are used to purchase much needed items and equipment for the Altar, the Rectory, and the Parish Hall. Thank you!
