Lenten Services & Activities

In an effort to help us with our Lenten endeavors, the following are some of the activities available to all this Lent:

Prayer Services and Events

1.      Daily Mass

2.      Daily Rosary.

3.      Monday Evening Prayer Group at 5:45 P.M. / Church

4.      Adult Faith Formation on alternating Monday evenings at 7:00 P.M. / Church

5.      Men’s Fellowship on alternating Monday evenings at 7:00 P.M. / Church

6.      Scripture Study on Thursday evenings at 6:30 P.M. / Church

7.      Eucharistic Adoration on Friday mornings after Mass from 8:30-9:30 A.M.

8.      Stations of the Cross and Adoration at 7:00 P.M. on Fridays

9.      The Church will remain open all day for you to come and pray.

10.  Lenten Penance Service will be on Thursday, March 25th at 7:00 P.M.

11.  Confessions on Saturdays at 3:00 P.M. or Thursdays at 5:00 P.M.


1.   All are encouraged to sacrifice something in your lives that prevents you from     growing closer to God.

2.   What activity can you fast from such as TV, time on the internet, playing video

      games, etc. that would give you additional time for prayer and charitable works.

3.   If you are giving up alcohol for Lent and feel you or a loved one has a problem with drugs and/or alcohol, there is a meeting                every other Monday evening at 7:30 P.M. in the Rectory.  All are welcome.

4.   Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of Fast and Abstinence from meat. We are called to abstain from meat on Fridays in             Lent.

Alms Giving

1.      “40 Cans in 40 Days” sponsored by the Knights of Columbus.  Each family is asked to donate one can of food each day during Lent.  The food will be collected and taken to the Community Action Food Bank by the Knights. 

2.      Operation Rice Bowl – containers are available throughout the Church so that each family can set aside money saved from fasting to be donated to the poor.
