MONDAY EVENING PRAYER GROUP   Whatsoever you shall ask the Father in My name, that will I do” (John 14:13). And not only our petitions, but also our various acts of praise and of thanksgiving should be made in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ, to God His Father.  Come one, Come all! Ss. Peter and Paul Prayer Group are inviting anyone who would like to come and join in the Monday evening prayers at 6:00 P.M. in the Church.  Prayer throughout the day and week is a great way to build our relationship with our Lord! Don’t be shy!  We would love to see you!

CONGRATULATIONS LAUREN DUGAN for placing 1st in the Great North Central District Americanism Essay Contest representing the Philipsburg Elk Lodge.  The theme was “What does freedom of speech mean to me?”  This is a yearly contest for students in 5th, 6th, 7th and 9th grades at the time of the contest.

PARISH COUNCIL will meet Wednesday, August 5th at 6:30 P.M. in the Church Rectory. 

FINANCIAL COMMITTEE will meet Wednesday, August 5th at 7:30 P.M. in the Church Rectory.

WEDDING ANNIVERSARY LITURGIES   Bishop Mark and the Family Life Office cordially invite all couples celebrating 1, 5, 10, 25, 40, 50, 55 and 60+ Wedding Anniversary in 2020 and their families to attend the Annual Wedding Anniversary Liturgy.  Couples may attend Sunday, September 13th in Altoona at the Cathedral or Sunday, September 20th in Johnstown at the Cathedral.  Both locations are handicap accessible.  Liturgies will begin at 2:00 P.M.  Reservations must be made through our parish for either celebration by Wednesday, August 19th.  If you would like to attend, please call the Church Office at 342-1700.

BLOOD DRIVE   The Blood Drive that was held here on Wednesday, July 15th was a HUGE success.  There were 47 people present to donate and collected 48 unites!  Thank you to all our parishioners who donated at this event and especial thank you to George Patrick for helping to take care of everything.
