BISHOP ANNOUNCES DATE FOR RESTORING MASS OBLIGATION;
Bishop Mark has announced the return of the Sunday and Holy Day Mass obligation in the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown beginning August 15, 2021. Local Catholics have not been obligated to attend Mass since March of 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Bishop made the announcement in a July 15, 2021, pastoral letter to the faithful of Altoona-Johnstown. In the letter, Bishop Mark shared heartfelt sentiments from parishioners with whom he has spoken. The Bishop reminded the faithful that our parish churches are our spiritual home, and extended a warm invitation for everyone to start anew.

FALL FEST 50/50 TICKETS have been placed in this week’s bulletin.  The tickets are $1.00 each or 6 tickets for $5.00.  Two packets of 6 tickets have been placed in each envelope.  If you would like more, they have been placed in the back of the Church on the shelf.   Please help to make this a great 50/50 by taking more tickets and selling them to people outside the Church.  Sold tickets can be placed in the Offertory Baskets or returned to the Church Office.  The drawing will take place at the Fall Fest, October 24th

FALL FEST   Fall Fest is scheduled for Sunday, October 24th and parishioners are being asked to help make this event a success by donating baskets to be raffled, gift cards and lottery tickets.  If you have a theme basket(s) to donate, they can be dropped off at the Church Office Monday through Thursday mornings.  Also lots of help will be needed to setup, cleanup or work during the festival. Please mark your calendars now for a day of fun and fellowship and watch the bulletin for more information.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR BINGO ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 29th Volunteers over the age of 18 are needed to assist with bingo on Sunday, August 29th from 5-9PM.  The money raised will be used for the Parish Improvement Fund. Help is needed to collect money at the door, sell food and drinks, help with the floor activities.  A sign-up sheet has been placed on the shelf in the back of the church.  We need 20 volunteers to make this event a huge success.

CHURCH HISTORY   Fr. John and Julie Houston are working on putting together a “Church History” book for our parish.   If you have any records, pictures, stories, etc. about our parish that you would like to have included in this book, please contact Fr.
