posted Dec 3, 2020, 4:21 AM by Church Office

THE FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a Holy Day of Obligation, will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 8th at 8:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M.  Although a Holy Day, the Bishop has issued a dispensation for mandatory attendance.

BLOOD DRIVE   The Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring a Blood Drive on Tuesday, December 15th from 1:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M.  To register for the Blood Drive, please call 1-800-733-2767 or visit REDCROSSBLOOD.org.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS FOOD COLLECTION   The food collection for Community Action Food Pantry’s Christmas donations is ending this Sunday, December 6th.  As of December 1st, the Food Drive has collected 966 pounds of food and $515.00 in monetary donations from our Parish.  Thank you for your generosity.

PENANCE SERVICE will be held on Thursday, December 17th at 7:00 P.M.  The service will be different this year in that only Confessions will be heard.  Fr. John will have several Priests here to help hear confessions.

SNOW DAY AND/OR DELAYS   During the winter, Mass held on weekdays usually follows the PO School Districts cancellation and delay policy, however, due to the virus, school is not always in session so please listen to the television and if there is a winter storm warning or watch during the time of Mass, it will be cancelled.  Remember, Bishop Mark has issued a dispensation for mandatory attendance of Mass during this pandemic.

YMCA GIVING TREE For Parishioners who took tags off of the “Giving Tree”, please bring the wrapped package(s) back to the Church, for distribution to the YMCA, next Sunday, December 13th.  Please remember to mark both the NAME and NUMBER from the tags on each gift that is donated to ensure accurate distribution of the gifts.  Also, please include the tag from the tree.  Thank you.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS  The Knights of Columbus will be handing our “Keep Christ in Christmas” magnets at each of the entrances of the Church after all Masses this weekend for parishioners’ vehicles.    The Knights will also be handing our recruitment cards for any man of the Parish who is interested in joining our Council.  We would love to continue building this great Council within our Parish!  May we remember the true meaning of this season in our hearts.
