Thank you. BLESSING OF THROATS The Feast of St. Blaise is Wednesday, February 3rd. Blessing of Throats will take place during all Masses next weekend, January 30th & 31st.
CANDLEMAS DAY FEBRUARY 2 Blessed candles will be available in the church next weekend, January 30th and 31st in celebration of the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord. There are single candles for $2.00 or boxes of two candles for $4.00. |

Rosary / Church THE STRAW AROUND THE HOLY FAMILY STATUE has been blessed by Fr. John and tradition is to take a few pieces with you and place in your car to protect you with safe travel during the coming year. Small bags of straw have been placed in a basket, please take these first before removing the straw from around the nativity. RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CLASS Due to Covid-19 there will be no Religious Education Classes until the end of February. Students in Grades 10th & 11th are being asked to help undecorate the Church on Sunday, January 10th following the 10:00 A.M. Mass as part of their service project for this year. Students are to meet at the front of the Church near the votive candles. All students must wear masks. PARISH APPRECIATION LUNCHEON will NOT be held in January because of COVID-19. Hopefully, we will be able to have our luncheon in 2022. We will have gifts to hand out in lieu of the luncheon. THANK YOU With heart felt gratitude and thanks, I truly appreciated all the many cards and gifts I received during Christmas. I am truly humbled by your thoughtfulness and generosity. Fr. John YMCA GIVING TREE Thank you to all parishioners who so graciously donated gifts for local children this Christmas season. Our parishioners purchased gifts for 74 children and it was amazing to see all the packages that filled the front of the Church. THE STRAW AROUND THE HOLY FAMLY STATUE has been blessed by Fr. A heartfelt congratulations goes to these students who received the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time. Those students include: Logan Ecklund, Carter Petulla, Nicholas Weller and Aiden Wisniewski. May God-bless each of you with Peace and Prosperity in the New Year! Deacon Jerry BLOOD DRIVE Our recent Blood Drive on Tuesday, December 15th collected 42 Units. This represents a record for us. We have been drawing more donors from other areas where their local drives have been cancelled. We will be continuing our commitment to sponsor these drive with our next one planned for February 16, 2021. Thank you to everyone who came out in support of this drive! FALL FOOD DRIVE The Philipsburg Community Action has expressed sincere gratitude to Ss. Peter and Paul for all the generosity in both food and monetary donations as well as the abundance of donated coats/clothing during our Fall Food Drive. The final count was 1,062 pounds of parish-donated food! Again, that you for your generosity. STEWARDSHIP REFLECTIONS Jesus, the Blessed Virgin Mary and Joseph serve as the ultimate example of true discipleship and stewardship. They give without measure. Christian stewards are called to “give thanks to God” as we offer our gifts in the “peace of Christ.” We are called to offer everything we have in faith as an offering to God, in the name of the Lord Jesus. This leads to fruits of love, trust, accountability, and generosity. Good stewards see the evidence of God in all things, small and large. Rosary / Church STEWARDSHIP IN FAITH Thank you for your continued support and generosity to our Parish. The collection was: Offering $3,292.00, Votive Candles $57.00, Christmas Club $188.00 and Improvement Fund $185.00. The Tithing check for last weekend was $329.20 and was donated to the Philipsburg Holt Memorial Library. FIRST CONFESSIONS will be heard by Fr. John for our Second Grade Religious Education Class this Sunday at 6:00 P.M. and parents are encouraged to attend. SUNDAY MORNING CCD STUDENTS in 10th & 11th Grade are asked to meet at the front of the Church following the 10:00 A.M. Mass this Sunday to participate in their group service project of decorating the Church. Students must wear masks. ADULT VOLUNTEERS FOR CHURCH DECORATING are being asked to please come to the Church around 11:15 A.M. this Sunday to assist in decorating the Church after the CCD students have brought up all the decorations. Please wear a mask. CHRISTMAS WEEK SCHEDULE Thursday, Christmas Eve, December 24th Masses 4:00, 6:00 and 8:00 P.M. Friday, Christmas Day, December 25th Masses 8:00 and 10:00 A.M. Christmas Day Masses are usually less crowded, if parishioners are able to attend at this time it would be greatly appreciated. At the present time, we will not have a sign-up sheet for attending any of the Masses but everyone attending is asked to please wear a mask. BLOOD DRIVE The Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring a Blood Drive this Tuesday, December 15th from 1:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. To register for the Blood Drive, please call 1-800-733-2767 or visit REDCROSSBLOOD.org. There is no sign-up sheet in the back of the Church, they prefer you register on line or by calling the Red Cross. Due to the Blood Drive, the Knights will not have their monthly meeting Tuesday evening. YMCA GIVING TREE For Parishioners who took tags off of the “Giving Tree”, wrapped package(s) are due back to the Church this weekend, for distribution to the YMCA. Please remember to mark both the NAME and NUMBER from the tags on each gift that is donated to ensure accurate distribution of the gifts. Also, please include the tag from the tree. Thank you. LECTORS & EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS are needed for the Christmas Masses. A sign-up sheet has been placed on the Cry Room shelf if you are able to help. THE FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a Holy Day of Obligation, will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 8th at 8:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. Although a Holy Day, the Bishop has issued a dispensation for mandatory attendance. BLOOD DRIVE The Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring a Blood Drive on Tuesday, December 15th from 1:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. To register for the Blood Drive, please call 1-800-733-2767 or visit REDCROSSBLOOD.org. KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS FOOD COLLECTION The food collection for Community Action Food Pantry’s Christmas donations is ending this Sunday, December 6th. As of December 1st, the Food Drive has collected 966 pounds of food and $515.00 in monetary donations from our Parish. Thank you for your generosity. PENANCE SERVICE will be held on Thursday, December 17th at 7:00 P.M. The service will be different this year in that only Confessions will be heard. Fr. John will have several Priests here to help hear confessions. SNOW DAY AND/OR DELAYS During the winter, Mass held on weekdays usually follows the PO School Districts cancellation and delay policy, however, due to the virus, school is not always in session so please listen to the television and if there is a winter storm warning or watch during the time of Mass, it will be cancelled. Remember, Bishop Mark has issued a dispensation for mandatory attendance of Mass during this pandemic. The Knights will also be handing our recruitment cards for any man of the Parish who is interested in joining our Council. We would love to continue building this great Council within our Parish! FALL FOOD COLLECTION & WINTER COAT DRIVE for Community Action is continuing with the Coat Drive until next Sunday, November 29th and Food donations for Christmas until December 6th. Each tag will have a name and number on it. Please mark both the NAME and NUMBER on each gift that is donated to ensure accurate distribution of the gift(s). The tree will remain on display until all the tags are gone.
